Introduction:

The following is the tariff of costs for the individual services offered by Scottish Ancestor Search.com.  Please read this in conjunction with the full description of the services by clicking the appropriate page at the foot of this screen.

Hourly Rate Service:

Hourly Rate: £20
Minimum Charge: £20
Optional Formal Bound Report: £100

The hourly rate includes the following:
New Register House and any other search fees, research and administrative time, post and packing, full written report including transcripts of all records found.

Specific Record Search:

Per Record: (minimum £15 order): £10 per photocopy up to 1900, £15 after 1900 or for legal copy before 1900.

This fixed fee provides you with a photocopy or legal copy of the record found, and covers New Register House search fees, research and administrative time, and post and packing.

Payment:

Payment can be made by cheque (a charge of £5 should be added for the first foreign currency cheque paid per client), or in cash (sterling, maximum £100).
Payment can alternatively be made securely online by paypal (whether or not you have a paypal account).  Again a £5 additional charge is made if payment requires conversion to sterling, but only for the first such payment per client.  If you wish to pay by paypal please advise me and I will send an email which will then provide a link to the paypal website and guide you through the process.
